Debbie Jane:
This week I’ve been steadily reading over Romans chapter 12 (NIV). Lately, my love, grace, and passion have all been strangled in self, and I’ve been refocusing on how God wants me to be.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (verse 2)
“Love must be sincere.” (verse 9)
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need.” (verses 12 & 13a)
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” (verse 18)
Hännah:
The Lord has been teaching me that trials and struggles, while somewhat for my benefit, are really all for His glory. In John 9 and 11, the man born blind and Lazarus’ death were “for the glory of God, so that the Son of Man might be glorified through it.” (John 11:4, ESV)
Kaitlin:
“Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!” (Psalm 27:14, ESV)
“I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.” (Psalm 130:5,6, ESV)
Kate:
This week I’ve been consistently reminded that faith is belief in action. Diligence accompanied by a calm trust in the sovereignty and goodness of God is what it means to have faith. And to be honest, this isn’t very easy (I’ve experienced triumphs and failures alike this week!). Thankfully, when I am weak, He is strong!
Katie Marie:
“In You is strength to sustain me/ And wisdom enough to guide my hand / Mercy enough to forgive me / And power to finish what You began” – All That I Need, Valley of Vision
This week, God has continued to challenge me with the fact that all that I need is in Jesus. He is enough—He is all I need to be complete.
Kelsey:
“I love Thee because Thou has first loved me, / And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree. / I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow; / If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.” - “My Jesus I Love Thee,” William R. Featherston
Riëtte:
“But I will hope continually and will praise You yet more and more.” —Psalm 71:14 (ESV)
Stephanie:
The Father is teaching me to revel in the trueness of His character. I can rejoice in His untouchable glory and rest in the constancy of His love despite how I feel, how I sin, or how people perceive me. His attributes are always, always, always true!
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever!” -Rom. 11:36 (NIV)
