Truthfest!… A day late - Oops!
Hännah:
It’d be hard to try to summarize this week, but maybe the first six verses of Romans 8 will suffice.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in
Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life has set you
free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3For God has
done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By
sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,
he condemned sin in the flesh, 4in order that the righteous
requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For those
who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of
the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their
minds on the things of the Spirit. 6For to set the mind on the
flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and
peace.” (ESV)
Kaitlin:
This week God has kindly allowed me to get all my ducks in a row for my move to Chicago next week with the least amount of stress possible. He has also blessed me with a quiet confidence to trust Him and His will in the coming change.
Kate:
”College is coming again!” is a thought that can either stress me out, or give me another occasion to run to God. By God’s grace, I’ve been led to run to Him more lately than simply running around like a chicken with her head cut off. God is faithful and I’m looking forward to what He will work in me this next school year.
Kelsey:
The Lord was gracious to me this week by revealing to me a few areas of my life where I have been failing to be obedient to him. He used the books I was reading and every day events for my sanctification
Stephanie:
From incovenient disturbances in my “perfectly planned week” to a tough realization that I’ve over-committed myself, God’s let me see my weakness and my arrogance in assuming soveriegnty over my own life. He’s teaching me to release my plans and rest in His, to simply pray “Thy will be done” each hour—which proves to be harder than I thought.
A lot of people are starting school this week, and we’d love it if you’d share with us how God has been working in your lives and hearts to prepare you for the coming school year! We’d also love to know if there is any way that we, here at Forthright Fixation, can be praying for you.

This was posted on my birthday! :] And I think the post from a couple of weeks ago about college life and our spirituality sums up how I’m feeling right now.
