Truthfest!

I think we ladies at Forthright Fixation can all agree that all-of-a-sudden we’re in a busy season! Each one of us has either begun school, or left for school this week, so we apologize for the lack of posts that have been up as of late! Don’t worry, we’ll be back hopefully all in one piece before long! For now, here are the truthfests:

Debbie: Christ has been pulling my thoughts back to Him, and drawing me to Him. As my head empties of the summer, and fills up with the new school year, He’s giving me grace to get through it in inexplicable ways.

Hännah: In the insanity of move-in and getting settled again at school, I’m pressed to remember that He gives rest to His beloved. There is nothing that He calls us to that He will not provide the grace for, and He remembers in His mercy that we are but dust, and makes His grace sufficient.

Kaitlin: I have survived my first three days of college!! (Well, actually, it’s only been orientation. Ha!) They have been hectic, crazy, sleep-less, and overwhelming but being in a setting where everyone desires to serve God is refreshing, exciting and challenging.
Kate: The first couple days of school have been intense, but God has been reminding me that He is all sufficiency for me. He is the only one I need to turn to when I feel mentally, physically, or spiritually weak, and in Him is all the grace I need to live (even in college! ;)).
Stephanie: At the end of a week like mine, all I can say is this: I have nothing to bring. No gifts, no plans, no preparations, no words, no service. Christ is everything I have and He must plea the case of this poor, broken sinner before the Father. “When we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” Rom 5:6b And that has never been such good news!

One Response to “Truthfest!”

  1. A wholehearted “amen” to what Stephanie wrote. That really sounds like the ideal mindset when entering “busy season,” and if it isn’t in the beginning, it’s almost certain to become our mindset by the end–once we remember how inadequate we our to complete our tasks without God’s help!
