A Trip Through the Psalms

Today I want to just make a (seemingly) simple statement. God is good. To support this three word sentence, I thought I’d be good to take a look at the Psalms. I’ve found myself many times lately forgetting this simple truth and being pointed back to the Word encourages me. This is a fundamental truth that often times go hand-in-hand with my trust in God. If I do not believe that He is good, then I cannot trust Him with my heart, mind and soul. Hope you are encouraged!

According to the Webster’s 1828 Dictionary, here is the definition of good.

Good. a.
Valid; legally firm; not weak or defective; having strength adequate to its support. Sound; perfect; uncorrupted; undamaged. Complete or sufficiently perfect in its kind; having the physical qualities best adapted to its design and use; opposed to bad, imperfect, corrupted, impaired.

  1. One of the many amazing attributes of God is that if we call Him something, absolutely nothing else can be called the same. If God is good, then nothing else even comes close. If God is loving and trustworthy, then nothing else can be compared. Reading those verses with that context in mind really just blows me away. Much thanks to you all!

    BTW…what exactly is a truthfest?

  2. Andrew, a truthfest is this:
